In the trailer, Dumbledore narrates the transformation of Tom Riddle -- "a boy who made all the wrong choices" -- into Voldemort and lays out the challenges now posed to Harry. Along the way we get various glimpses of the Inferi, explosions in Diagon Alley, and a fire at the Burrow.
Personally, I did not like this trailer as much as the earlier bigger trailer that was released by WB some months ago. That one had everything packed into a nice package. This one just goes from darkness to darkness. Oh well!
Harry Potter and the Half Blood prince will release on July 17, 2009.
In the latest issue of Teen magazine, Dan Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and Emma Watson spoke about their characters' romances in Half-Blood Prince in a new interview, which can be read below:
Daniel spoke about kissing Bonnie, teasing Rupert, and on-set shenanigans:
Dan Spills! What's the kissing scene like between Harry and Ginny Weasley? I think Bonnie (Wright, who plays Ginny) was maybe a bit nervous, and I probably was, too. It is very much the case that it's nowhere near as exciting to film those scenes as people would imagine them to be. I hateto disillusion everyone.
Did you give Rupert any advice on his kissing scenes? I wasn't there because they filmed the actual kiss after I had gone home one day. I couldn't watch it and laugh at him, which was deeply annoying. I love watching the scenes where Lavender swoons over Ron. I think there's a little bit of Rupert looking embarrassed, which makes me really laugh.
Is it fun filming a movie that has a little more romance in it? I prefer the dark stuff to be honest! The romance is fun and it's something people will really enjoy, but I personally like doing stuff in a cave where I'm close to death. It's a lot easier than romance.
What was a funny moment onset? Rupert, Emma and I displayed a total lack of professionalism because we could not stop laughing during one scene, and we didn't know why. I think it was partially because I had just seen a piece of film footage of a monkey in a little uniform riding a bicycle and I was thinking about that. I shared that with Rupert, which was a terrible thing to do because he started laughing. And then I think Emma just though, "If you can't beat 'em, join 'em."
Rupert Dishes! We heard you checked out the top five actresses who auditioned to play Lavender Brown. What was that like? (Laughs) Yeah, I went to some of the final stages of the auditions. It was really cool to be involved in that side of it, not that I really had any say. There were some good girls, but we didn't do the kiss. We didn't even talk about the kiss until the day we actually did it. But Jessie (Cave), who got the part of Lavender, is really cool. Potions are a big part of the story.
How were you at chemistry in real life? I quite enjoyed it- the stuff with the Bunsen burners.- but I never went to school much because I did most of my learning onset. We didn't do many experiments, so I missed out on that.Rumor is there's a lot of Ping-Pong played on set and Emma is the one to beat!I don't like playing her because it's really embarrassing. She's so much better than me and Dan, but we're getting good. We're quite quick!
Emma's scoop! You'll have your first Harry Potter kiss in the seventh movie. How do you feel about that? I think it's going to be quite awkward, but I was speaking to Dan and Bonnie, and apparently, after a couple of takes it gets boring!
Do you ever work with the costume department on choosing Hermione's clothes? Yeah. As I've gotten older, I've been more involved. In the beginning, I found it really hard to understand that I was wearing clothes people expected Hermione to wear. I was 10 at the time and I'd get really upset about the clothes because I never would have worn anything like that in my life! I've been playing her for so long now that I can have more fun with it.
What's your secret to being the onset Ping-Pong champ? My parents played and they're really competitive. They never user to let me win, but I got quite good at it. Dan and Rupert were quite taken aback that I could beat them. I think Rupert took it the worst.

It's confirmed! Warner Bros announced that they've completed casting Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.
Joining the cast of the sixth Harry Potter movie are Academy Award-winner Jim Broadbent (Iris) as Potions Professor Horace Slughorn and Helen McCrory who earned rave reviews playing the wife of Prime Minister Tony Blair in the critically acclaimed drama, The Queen. McCrory's taking on the role of Draco Malfoy's mother, Narcissa.
In addition to Broadbent and McCrory, newcomers to the Harry Potter movie franchise will include Jessie Cave as Lavender Brown. Jessie, a 20-year-old actress, is about to appear on TV in new CBBC drama Summerhill, and on the big screen in forthcoming film Inkheartopposite Dame Helen Mirren. She is two years older than the age stipulated at the audition in July. Then, producers held an open casting call for girls aged 15-18 at Earls Court in London and said "no acting experience necessary". Around 7,000 hopefuls queued for hours in a bid to win the role of their dreams.
Lavender is Ron Weasley's girlfriend and a fellow pupil at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. She kisses him constantly and calls him "Won Won" - much to his dismay - while he secretly pines for Hermione Granger.
Meanwhile, Ralph Fiennes’s nine-year-old nephew has landed a part in the next Harry Potter film – playing a younger version of Fiennes’s character. Hero Fiennes Tiffin will join his uncle and cast regulars Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince in which he plays Lord Voldemort, the villain, as an 11-year-old.
Frank Dillane, the 16-year-old son of the actor Stephen Dillane, will play the teenage Voldemort. The Harry Potter rookies will be joining a huge batch of returning Harry Potter cast members.
